The clubs in the Sofia-Balkan family took part in the German Christmas bazaar for the second year
For a second year, the Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan in collaboration with its Rotaract Club, participated in the German Christmas Bazaar Sofia – Deutscher Weihnachtsmarkt Sofia. In early December, visitors to the bazaar could buy Christmas ornaments and decoration.
We would like to thank the children from the “Nedka Ivan Lazarova” High School of Clothing and Textile in Ruse, who provided handmade textiles; the children from a private school “Bankerche” who donated Christmas decorations; of children from “St.St. Cyril and Methodius “in Elhovo, who made Christmas cards. As well as the Srebra-handmade designer and Maiko Mila, who also donated handmade products.
This year we managed to raise 2072.85 leva. The collected funds went to the maintenance of the basketball club for people in wheelchairs Sofia-Balkan.
The team helps the integration of disadvantaged people and allows them to feel full-fledged members of society by giving contestants the opportunity to share their love of sports, basketball, and to develop their skills, strength and will.
The training of the team is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 20:00 in the adapted wheelchair gym at the National Stadium “Vasil Levski”.
