On November 15, 2025, one of the most significant events in the annual Rotary calendar—the “Zhiznen Klub” (“Vibrant Club”) Forum 2025—took place in the picturesque village of Arbanasi. Held under the motto “United for Good,” the forum brought together Rotarians from across the country to exchange ideas and best practices for club development, the implementation of sustainable projects, and more effective community communication.
Among the invited speakers was the President of Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan, Ivaylo Vasilev, who presented a topic of growing interest in both the professional and organizational worlds: “Artificial Intelligence as a Tool for Club Presidents and Secretaries.”
Upon taking the stage, Ivaylo Vasilev immediately captured the audience’s attention with his trademark curled mustache. With characteristic humor, he used the moment to draw attention to the club’s campaign, “Mustaches for Health” (“С мустаци за здраве”)—a Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan initiative dedicated to men’s health throughout the month of November.
The presentation began with a lighthearted look at the most common ways people use artificial intelligence in their daily lives. Within the limited timeframe, the speaker then moved to the practical core of his presentation, demonstrating four real-world scenarios faced by club boards and how they can be easily addressed using various AI tools.
The closing message of the presentation made a particularly strong impression. Despite the numerous advantages of new technologies, Ivaylo Vasilev emphasized the necessity for critical thinking and the responsible use of artificial intelligence. He issued a clear warning to the audience: never trust AI-generated information blindly and always verify facts and sources before making final decisions.
The participation of the Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan President was highly praised by both the organizers and the attending Rotarians. In recognition of his activity, professionalism, and dedication to Rotary values, he received an invitation to join the District Team for the upcoming Rotary year.
