In the spirit of the Rotary annual theme “Unite for Good,” members of Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan actively participated in a volunteer initiative organized by Rotaract Club Sofia-Balkan to clean up troubled areas in the districts of Lyulin and Krasno Selo.

With joint efforts and great enthusiasm, Rotaractors and Rotarians set a personal example of how small actions can lead to visible changes in the community.

The initiative was joined by the President of Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan, Ivaylo Vasilev, who emphasized the importance of individual commitment in addressing the capital’s waste management challenges:

“While sustainable solutions are being sought, every one of us can help—with gloves, trash bags, and a few hours of our personal time. Caring for the environment we live in starts with our own actions.”

This cause is yet more proof that when we are “United for Good,” we can inspire positive change. We extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who participated, as well as to the residents of Krasno Selo for their support and smiles during the cleanup.

Let us continue to keep Sofia clean and demonstrate that Rotary is a force for good!
