40 young people from “neighborhood” schools are ready to apply for a job thanks to “My Career” project of Rotary Club Sofia Balkan

Sofia, July 23, 2018 – The status quo of “elite” Vs “neighborhood” schools was overcome by a charity project of Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan, funded by the Rotary Foundation in partnership with the KS, Krasna Polyana Region and Ed Eduard Computing Training Organization.

The cycle of trainings, career tests and role-plays included 40 students from 123rd Stefan Stambolov Secondary School and 135th Secondary School “Jan Comenius”. As a result of the work of the EdouKompas Career Development Teachers and their unique methodology, including five modules with Suggestopedic and Informal Educational Methods, all young people developed CVs, learned how to apply for a job and university, how to handle a job interview as well and other professional situations. Within the program, students also underwent career tests and received over 10 real job offers and internships. With this project we have actually increased the number of working and learning young people in Krasna Polyana, which contributed to the economy and reduced the number of young people in risky situations,” commented Atanas Mihnev from Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan, the organizer of the project. The results of the trainings were presented to the CA, Krasna Polyana Area and to interested citizens.
