Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan Supports Young Leader – RYLA Seminar in Burgas, April 2024

Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan nominated and supported a young leader to participate in the RYLA seminar in Burgas in April 2024.

The seminar is organized for young people between the ages of 18 and 26 who have leadership skills and potential. The seminar program is aimed at providing outstanding young people with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and character, as well as to learn about the values, high ethical standards, and messages of peace of Rotary.

Here is what Elina Andonova shared about the opportunity she was given:

“I was given the opportunity to participate in the RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) seminar from April 5-7. The focus is on making new acquaintances, developing leadership skills, and effective teamwork. I had the pleasure of meeting many young and ambitious people, with whom, despite the differences in our professional goals and interests, the common desire to develop our leadership skills brought us closer together.

During the three-day seminar, we were able to touch upon various aspects of the development of leadership qualities in a young person. The lectures covered a wide range of topics aimed at improving the qualities necessary for a good leader – good communication, creativity, uniqueness, intonation, body language, and more.

On April 6, we had the pleasure of being invited to the birthday of Rotary Club Burgas – Primorsko, which celebrated its 20th anniversary. Representatives of other Rotary clubs attended the event, with whom we exchanged valuable experience and advice.

I can confidently say that RYLA is a great initiative, the presence of which would leave one filled with positive emotions and motivation for setting and achieving new goals.

I sincerely thank Rotary Club Sofia-Balkan for the nomination and financial support!

The function of leadership is to create more leaders, not more followers!

Good luck to the next leaders!”
